We want to thank everyone involved with the Halifax Fringe Festival for what has been an incredible year! We were cut 2 days short by Hurrican Dorian and have been heartbroken over it. But safety and accessibility come first at Halifax Fringe, and we are so proud of the Fringe artists, volunteers, and patrons who made the 2019 festival possible.
All ticket holders for performances on September 7th & 8th have been (or are in the process of being) issued refunds. We thank you for your patients. Some ticket holders have asked where they could contribute to the artists who lost performances due to the hurricane. For that, Theatre Nova Scotia has stepped in to help us out.
Theatre Nova Scotia is proud to support the performances of the 2019 Halifax Fringe Festival. As a result of Hurricane Dorian, the final weekend of the Festival had to be cancelled, resulting in significant losses in revenue for this year’s Festival. For anyone wishing to donate to the Halifax Fringe, either the value of their ticket or any amount, they can help the Festival and its performances by making a donation through Theatre Nova Scotia. Donors may give in person, by phone, by mail, online directly to Theatre Nova Scotia or through Canada Helps. The proceeds of the campaign will go directly to the Halifax Fringe Festival, and donors will receive a charitable receipt for tax purposes (for donations of $5 or more). If you are directing your donation to a particular show, you must indicate the name of the production at the time of donation.
